Un modo diverso di concepire l’occasione espositiva, con lavori appositamente sviluppati insieme agli artisti a seconda delle caratteristiche dei luoghi che li ospitano. All’interno del Palasport “Giobatta Gianquinto” (Palasport Arsenale), raro esempio di architettura brutalista nel cuore di Venezia, a pochi passi dall’ingresso della Biennale, Cristina Treppo ha studiato e realizzato il suo intervento site-specific. CONCRETE è un percorso espositivo che, come ha scritto l’artista, «si sviluppa in alcune delle pareti di fondo della tribuna (utilizzando i fori già presenti), proponendo delle forme in cemento leggero, che rimandano all’idea di vaso, di organo, di parte simbolica di un corpo. L’allestimento, che si articola fra superfici vuote e piene, entra in relazione con l’architettura in modo pervasivo e non invasivo».
